Saratoga Fernovus Zinc Plated Sheets is a protective and decorative enamel for direct treatment on various types of metals, such as galvanized sheet metal and steel, and on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. It can be applied in a single coat without the need for a primer.

Mix well with a spatula until smooth. Ideal for both interior and exterior use, it can also be used on elements exposed to the elements such as garage doors, windows, railings, fences, gates, pipes, entrance doors, gutters, and decorative objects. It can be applied directly to aluminum, copper, brass, and galvanized sheet metal.

New surfaces: sand; clean, degrease, and dry; apply Fernovus® Galvanized Sheets


Painted surfaces: test the product first on a hidden area of ​​the object. After 2-3 hours, if the product is well bonded to the surface, continue with the rest of the work. If the original color is significantly different from the applied color, a second coat may be necessary to cover and even out the color. Properly cover corners and edges with the paint.

Old and treated surfaces: sand, remove any loose oxide, old paint, and any rust. Clean, degrease, and dry. Apply Fernovus® Galvanized Sheets.

Application Method

Brush: Ready to use, do not dilute or add colorants
Roller: 5-10% with white spirit and stir before application
Spray: 10-15% with white spirit and stir before application
Touch-dry after 4 hours; apply a second coat after 8 hours.
Clean tools with white spirit.
