FLATTING

The special resins used in its formulation protect the wood from wear, weathering and UV rays, preventing yellowing over time and ensuring good protection.
It forms a surface film that makes it waterproof and durable over time.

On clean, dry woods free from oil, wax, grease, resin or old finishing.
Milky appearance, becomes transparent once dried. Blend well before use. It is ready-to-use if applied by brush or roll; it is suggested to dilute 5-10% with water if applied by spray (gun pressure 3-4 atm, nozzle Ø1.7-2mm).

New wood
Always sand using a thin sandpaper following the wood grain, then apply 2 or more coats (sanding between one and another). For highly absorbing woods, it is recommended to treat the support with a coat of wood stain Saratoga LEGNO PROF ADVANCE before proceeding with further sanding and clear varnish application.

Varnished wood
Sand old varnish to allow a better anchoring for clear varnish. Remove possible peeling varnish parts and, if necessary, use a filler and sand again. After an accurate cleaning, apply 2 coats of clear varnish (sanding between one and another).

It is recommended to proceed with periodic maintenance as years go by, sanding every time and applying it again.

Application temperature +10/+40°C in dry climate.
Do not apply if rains – after the rain, wait at least 24 hours before apply.
Tack free 1 hour, second coat after 4-6 hours.
Clean tools with water. Close tin after use.
